Consultant in Cornea & Refractive surgery services
Dr. Sejal Maheshwari is a consultant in
Cornea & Refractive surgery services since November
1998. She did her Masters in Ophthalmology from Devi
Ahilya University Indore. Then she pursued one year
fellowship in General Ophthalmology & Cornea from
Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She joined the department
of cornea & refractive surgery at Shri Ganapati
Netralaya thereafter.
Working as a Consultant she has been attending all routine
and emergencies related to cornea in the outpatient
Clinic. Managing acute & chronic keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis,
Blepharitis, Ocular surface disorders, Corneal dystrophies,
Complex anterior segment disorganization including trauma,
Complex corneal diseases including combined approaches
to cataract, Excimer laser treatments, Refractive errors,
Allergic eye disease, Contact lens.
She is routinely performing phacoemulsification with
intraocular lens implant, pterygium surgery, corneal
transplants, ocular surface reconstruction, LASIK, PRK
and PTK. She has a special interest in lamellar corneal
surgery.
She has published four articles in scientific journals
and has presented 15 research papers in various national
conferences. She is life member of All India Ophthalmic
society.
